Starr Report

Weighty matters . . .

“Hot in Cleveland” star Valerie Bertinelli — who continues in her role as a Jenny Craig spokeswoman — gives Cooking Light the exclusive skinny on her weight loss in “Fresh Start,” a special eight-page editorial booklet featured in the current issue of People magazine.

Bertinelli, 52, says she’s managed to maintain her 40-pound weight loss for over five years now (she weighs around 130 pounds) — a new personal record. “It’s the longest I’ve ever been able to keep the weight off,” she tells Cooking Light. “I’m still a work in progress . . . I would like to get back to the high 120s, but I’m not going to beat myself up over it. I’m comfortable at this weight.”

Bertinelli, who once tipped the scales at 175 pounds, says she has a weakness for ice cream — but puts a limit on how much she’ll scarf down in one sitting. “The first taste is always the best. Then maybe I’ll have a second or third,” she says. “But then I’m done.”

Nightline” is gone — from 11:35 p.m. — but is certainly not forgotten, if ratings are any indication.

The veteran ABC News show, kicked to the 12:35 a.m. curb to accommodate Jimmy Kimmel’s move to 11:35 p.m., is doing just fine, thank you, in its new timeslot.

While it’s pulling in roughly 2 million fewer viewers in its new home, “Nightline” still beat timeslot competitors “Late Late Show” (Craig Ferguson) and “Late Night” (Jimmy Fallon) last week (Jan. 8-11) in both total viewers and in the “money demo” of adults 25-54.

For the week, “Nightline” averaged 1.8 million viewers and 811,000 viewers in adults 25-54 — compared to 1.6 million/751,000 for “Late Night” and 1.4 million/649,000 for “Late Late Show.”

“Nightline” is hosted by Cynthia McFadden, Terry Moran, Bill Weir and Juju Chang.

In other ratings news, Sunday night’s season premiere of Showtime’s “Shameless” averaged 2 million viewers at 9 p.m. — a series record — while “House of Lies” pulled in a series record 1.2 million viewers at 10 with Golden Globe-winning star Don Cheadle.

NBC’s “Golden Globes” coverage, meanwhile, snared nearly 17 million viewers Sunday night — a six-year high and up 17 percent from last year — while E!’s “Live From the Red Carpet” Golden Globes coverage (Ryan Seacrest) hit a nine-year high, raking in nearly 2 million viewers (up 12 percent over last year).

Congrats to longtime NBC publicist Tracy St. Pierre on her marriage to actor Charlie Farrell at St. Monica’s Church in Santa Monica — which included guests Jay Leno and “Tonight Show” executive producer Debbie Vickers.

(Tracy’s duties as senior director of NBC Entertainment Publicity include “Tonight,” a show on which she’s worked for years.)

The ceremony was held Dec. 15 and was followed by a reception at The Victorian on Main Street. The newlyweds’ first dance, “Yours to Keep,” was performed live by singer/songwriter Kim DiVine.

I’m a sucker for clever titles, so I give you . . . “Schwartz and All,” a tribute to Broadway tunesmith and Oscar-winning composer Stephen Schwartz featuring “Nurse Jackie” co-star Stephen Wallem.

The concert will take place next Monday, Jan. 21, at Broadway at Birdland (315 West 44th) and is directed by Tony Humrichouser, with musical direction by Beckie Menzie.

Wallem, who plays Thor on Showtime’s “Nurse Jackie,” is making his Birdland debut in the tribute, which honors Schwartz (“Godspell,” “The Magic Show,” “Pippin,” “The Baker’s Wife” and many more) on the occasion of his 65th birthday.

“Schwartz and All” was originally produced at Davenport’s Piano Bar and Cabaret in Chicago and was remounted last year at Don’t Tell Mama. This new version at Birdland will feature updated material — and the addition of bass and percussion (along with a few surprise guests).

The animated series stars the voice of “Modern Family” co-star Ariel Winter and also features Wayne Brady and “Grey’s Anatomy” co-star Sara Ramirez . . .
