911 call reported teen with ‘green gun’ at LI school: cops

Nassau County cops are investigating a call this morning after a woman said there was a teen with a gun at a local school.

The 911 call came in at 7:38 a.m. for Elmont Memorial Junior Senior High School.

The caller said she saw a male teen enter the school with a backpack and a gun.

“The gun was lime green in color, possibly a toy,” said Kenneth Lack, the Nassau County Deputy Inspector.

Police are searching the school. The building and other schools in the area are on lockdown.

There are nearly 2,000 students enrolled at the school, which houses grades 7 through 12.
