Sober beauty’s ‘job’ escort

A Manhattan pill-popping beauty queen can go back to work, but needs an escort on job interviews.

Former Miss Russia Anna Malova got permission to seek employment at a beauty salon as long as she’s accompanied on her job hunt by a counselor from the drug-treatment facility where she lives, a judge said yesterday.

Once Malova obtains a job, she can move out of the treatment facility and leave her escort at home.

Malova was arrested nearly three years ago and charged with stealing a prescription pad from her doctor to write herself scripts for painkiller narcotics.

On the judge’s orders, the beauty queen’s counselor needs to make sure that, during her trips to any interviews, the job applicant doesn’t stray into tempting places like nightclubs, doctors’ offices or any place else where she fall victim to recidivist instincts.

“The court endorses and supports Ms. Malova’s job search,” Manhattan Supreme Court judge Richard Weinberg said.

“When you’re looking for work, we’re not talking about discos, we’re not talking about nightclubs, we’re not talking about anything that would put you in harm’s way.”

Malova’s lawyer, Robert Gottlieb, said the beauty salon “is one potential job. She’s going to do everything necessary to get working.

“She’s going to get a job.”

As for whether Malova will stay away from jobs that could give her access to drugs, he said, “She’s going to use common sense. We’re not going to put her in a place that would jeopardize her recovery.”
