7 injured after car smashes into store

An out-of-control car crashed through a Bronx storefront Monday, injuring seven workers inside, authorities said.

“Everybody was screaming,” said a worker at C&C Market Research. “Everybody was panicked. People were on the floor crying in pain.”

Authorities said the male driver of the Dodge Charger was parked in front of the East Avenue business when he attempted to leave and accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brakes.

The vehicle rocketed through the building’s facade.

All the injured employees were taken to Jacobi Medical Center with serious injuries, police said.
