HOOPS: UConn suspends center
UConn center Enosch Wolf was suspended from the team following his arrest in what police describe as a domestic dispute. The 7-foot-1 junior was charged with third-degree burglary, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
The Warriors unveiled plans to wear the NBA’s “first modern short-sleeve jersey” for three home games this season. The new uniforms will be used on Feb. 22 vs. the Spurs, March 8 against the Rockets and March 15 against the Bulls.

The USGA is getting rid of the U.S. Amateur Public Links championships in favor of a U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship starting in 2015. The Public Links dates to 1922. Past champions include Michelle Wie and Brandt Snedeker.
The Red Bulls acquired midfielder Eric Alexander from Portland in exchange for allocation money, named Rafael Gonzalez goalkeeper coach, and will bring striker Peguy Luyindula in on trial during the Arizona leg of training camp.
