HOOPS: UConn suspends center

UConn center Enosch Wolf was suspended from the team following his arrest in what police describe as a domestic dispute. The 7-foot-1 junior was charged with third-degree burglary, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

The Warriors unveiled plans to wear the NBA’s “first modern short-sleeve jersey” for three home games this season. The new uniforms will be used on Feb. 22 vs. the Spurs, March 8 against the Rockets and March 15 against the Bulls.

ETC.: USGA KOs Public Links tourneys

The USGA is getting rid of the U.S. Amateur Public Links championships in favor of a U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship starting in 2015. The Public Links dates to 1922. Past champions include Michelle Wie and Brandt Snedeker.
