Baldwin ‘stalker’ rejects no-jail plea deal in harassment case

Stay out of Amagansett!

The perky French Canadian model accused of stalking Alec Baldwin is saying “Non!” to a bizarre no-jail plea offer that would require she not step foot anywhere in the entire town of Amagansett — where the actor and his pregnant wife Hilaria have a house — for the next two years.

Pretty, blonde Genevieve Sabourin had come to Manhattan Criminal Court today hoping to plead guilty to a low-level harassment charge as a first step toward resolving the embarrassing case, in which she allegedly sent a series of creepy, threatening emails to Baldwin after a fleeting romance in 2010.

Under the currently-offered deal — which remains under negotiation — Sabourin would see the harassment conviction dismissed entirely following two years of counseling and good behavior, but only providing she observe a weirdly stringent order of protection that would bar her entirely from the East Hamptons town.

The order would also require she “stay ten blocks away from the [Baldwins’] New York City address, stay ten blocks away from Hilaria Baldwin’s yoga studios and stay ten blocks away from NBC studios,” assistant district attorney Zach Stendig told Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Ann Scherzer.

When the lawyer asked the prosecutor, “Just to clarify one thing — she wouldn’t be able to go in to the entire town of Amagansett?” the judge answered, “It’s a very small town.”

Today, Sabourin balked at the last minute.

“There are some hoops that they want my client to jump through, that we’re trying to resolve,” defense lawyer Rick Pasacreta explained after the deal got tabled in court today. April 8 was set as the next date for a possible plea.

The lawyer declined to say whether the sticking point was the Amagansett embargo, or some other element of the offered deal.

“I don’t want to discuss them right now,” he said, “but there are some hoops that I take issue with.”

Asked if Baldwin is the one insisting on the town-wide, “Genevieve-Free Zone,” the lawyer said, “I have no idea. He’s not speaking to me.”

The lawyer said that discussions with prosecutors are continuing in good faith.

“Ultimately we’re hoping that if it’s successful we will end up with the charges being dismissed at some point,” the lawyer said.

“Nothing that is insurmountable” he said of the offending “hoops.”

Asked if she was disappointed to be leaving Manhattan Criminal Court without a deal in place, Sabourin told reporters, “I’m disappointed to have even been arrested on day one. I should have never been arrested I have never done anything wrong!”

Sabourin had been busted in April, 2012, after sending Baldwin a series of emails and text messages in which she told him she loved him, wanted to have his baby, and needed cash. Sabourin allegedly freaked out Hilaria, by turning up at Baldwin’s Manhattan apartment; Sabourin was arrested at Lincoln Center, having turned up in the audience of an event Baldwin was appearing in.

She was arrested a second time, last November, for allegedly violating an order of protection by continuing to Tweet about Hilaria, Baldwin, and “my INJUSTICE,” and having notifications of the Tweets forwarded to Hilaria’s Twitter name and account.
