2 killed in early morning train accidents

A man was killed when he lost his balance and fell under the train while walking between train cars in SoHo, officials said.

The victim, who is believed to be in his 30s, was on a northbound Q train near Broadway and Prince Street, around 3:20 a.m., Sunday, when the tragic accident occurred.

The was not carrying identification and investigators have not yet identified him, authorities said.

It was not immediately clear whether the man slipped or was jolted off the platforms between cars but when he fell, he was struck by the remaining train cars, officials said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile at 2 a.m., a person was struck and killed by a Metro-North train near Park Avenue and East 72nd Street, officials said.
