At least 13 people were injured in a pileup on a Brooklyn highway Wednesday, authorities said.
At least five vehicles were involved in the accident that happened on the Gowanus Expressway near the Third Avenue exit just after 4:30 a.m., officials said.
Three of the victims suffered serious injuries while the other three sustained minor injuries. All were taken to Lutheran Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, the FDNY said.
Traffic was backed up all the way to Staten Island, causing major delays for the morning commute.
