WATCH: Mugger assaults victim at Times Sq. subway station

Police are looking for a vicious mugger who punched and robbed a man early today in a Times Square subway station.

The suspect was caught on surveillance video inside the station at 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue talking to the victim just after midnight.

He then sucker-punches the man in the face and knocks him to the ground, police said.

The thief ripped the man’s cell phone out of his hand and fled to the northbound No. 1 train platform, police said.

The robber is about 30-year-old, 6-foot-3 and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt during the incident, police said.
