HOOPS: Baylor’s Griner: 33 pts., 22 reb., 3 dunks

In Waco, Texas, Brittney Griner had 33 points and 22 rebounds to go along with three impressive slam dunks in her final home game for Baylor (34-1), and the defending national champion Lady Bears beat Florida State 84-47 in the second round of the NCAA tournament.

In Newark, Del., Elena Delle Donne scored 33 points in her final home game, and Delaware rallied past North Carolina 78-69 in the NCAA tournament.

Iona’s Tony Bozzella was picked to replace Anne Donovan as Seton Hall’s women’s basketball coach, according to a source with knowledge of the deal.

GOLF: Tiger’s team wins Tavistock Cup

Ian Poulter birdied the first hole of a playoff to lift Albany past Lake Nona in the Tavistock Cup, the team tournament at Windermere, Fla.

Poulter shot an even-par 72 at Isleworth, then teamed with Tiger Woods in the best-ball playoff against Lake Nona’s Graeme McDowell and Henrik Stenson.

Albany tied Lake Nona at 7 over, with Woods and Tim Clark shooting 73, and Justin Rose finishing with a 77. The event was shortened to one day of stroke play because of the Monday finish in the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

ETC.: Crosby leads Pens to 13th straight win

In Pittsburgh, Sidney Crosby scored the game’s only goal late in the second period and the Penguins extended their winning streak to 13 with a 1-0 victory over the Canadiens.

The Big East conference, which plans to rename itself this spring, signed a deal with CBS Sports to televise basketball games through the end of the season in 2020. CBS will have the first selection from conference and nonconference games, including those played at neutral sites.
