Two women who used sexy texts to lure man to his death will testify against ‘killers’: prosecutors

Two young women who lured a Brooklyn man to his death with sexy text messages and naked photos will testify against the men accused of ordering and carrying out the murder, prosecutors said at the opening of the men’s murder trial today.

Ragene Powell-Dickerson, 29, paid Jimmy Copeland, 26, $1,000 to kill Dwayne Burnett, 26, in Brownsville in 2011, prosecutors allege.

Ebony Geddie, 19, and Crystal Copeland, 25, sister of the accused shooter, took plea deals in exchange for testifying against the defendants, sources said.

The defendants recruited the two women to ensnare Burnett, prosecutors said.

“It was Crystal Copeland’s phone and her texts, coupled with Ebony’s naked body that lured him,” said Jimmy Copeland’s lawyer Gary Farrell, who claims his client had nothing to do with the shooting.

“He got out of the car, they started flirting with each other, they even kissed,” said assistant district attorney Julie Rendelman, describing how Ebony distracted Burnett so Copeland could allegedly kill him.

“She saw in the corner of her eye Copeland approaching coolly and calmly,” then stepped away so Copeland could blast Burnett.

Powell-Dickerson wanted Burnett dead because Burnett insulted his mom, Rendelman said — and after the murder even went to the dead man’s funeral so he didn’t arouse suspicion.

Deadly honey-traps Geddie and Crystal Copeland ducked murder charges by agreeing to plead guilty to conspiracy and will face four to 12 years at sentencing, sources said.

Trial testimony will continue tomorrow.
