Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries reach divorce settlement

LOS ANGELES — The clock will finally run out on Kim Kardashian’s marriage!

Lawyers for the reality TV star and Nets forward Kris Humphries told an LA judge today they’ve settled their highly publicized divorce case.

LA Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon is expected to formally sign off on the deal in June.

Today’s minutes-long hearing, announcing the deal, belied the bitter, months-long case that’s held up Kardashian’s possible union with current boyfriend and hip-hop icon Kanye West.

No terms of the settlement were immediately available.

Gordon thanked both sides for coming to a deal, hashed out after a recent, marathon three-hour meeting.

Kardashian was in attendance at today’s hearing but Humphries was not. He was represented in court by his lawyer.

Gordon told both sides he hopes they lead happy lives.

Kardashian, 32, and Humphries, 28, tied the knot on Aug. 20, 2011, near Santa Barbara, in a highly profitable, made-for-TV event.

Their marital bliss lasted 72 days. Kardashian filed for divorce, citing the boilerplate “irreconcilable differences.”

The curvy reality TV star denied the wedding was nothing more than a big-money publicity stunt.

Humphries, at the Nets facility in East Rutherford, NJ, declined to speak directly about his divorce.

But the 6-foot-9 forward did say divorce talks weren’t a distraction.

“I would never let something get in the way of basketball,” he said.

“Basketball is always my focus. I would never let anything get in the way of basketball, the playoffs or ever miss a game.”

The Nets open the playoffs tomorrow night, in Brooklyn, against the Chicago Bulls.
