Amputees trade punches as charity football match descends into brawl

A one-legged charity football match in Germany has descended into a brawl involving up to 20 amputees and spectators.

The two teams of amputees had to be held apart after clashing during the match between sides from Belgium and the Netherlands at the weekend.

The fight started after one player tripped an opponent off the ball.

The felled footballer reached out in retaliation and pulled the culprit to the ground.

Within seconds players from both sides piled in and began fighting – followed by abled-bodied supporters who had been watching from the sidelines.
