A heavily-armed team of federal agents and NYPD detectives took a man wanted in the slaying of a 14-year-old girl on a city bus into custody this morning, authorities said.

Kevin McClinton, 22, was sleeping at a relative’s house in Cayce, South Carolina, when they burst into the residence this morning, law-enforcement sources told the Post.

He has not been extradited to New York yet.

He was wanted for opening fire on the Q6 in Jamaica– and shooting D’aja Robinson, 16, in the head in May.

Over the past several days, members of the New York-New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force – an elite team of NYPD detectives and US Marshals – headed south as they closed in on McClinton.

They found him hiding out in Cayce – a small town near Columbia, the South Carolina state capital, sources said.

Investigators from NYPD’s Queens homicide squad and detectives from the 113 Precinct were part of the team that traced McClinton’s path from New York to South Carolina, sources said.

McClinton currently has an unrelated illegal gun case pending against him in a Queens court, sources said.

Cops said the gunfire was gang-related, and Robinson was not the intended target.
