‘Seinfeld’ cast tapes reunion project

This “Seinfeld” reunion isn’t nothing.

Jerry Seinfeld on Thursday acknowledged a mini-”Seinfeld” project is in the works, despite years of denials that he, George, Elaine and Kramer would ever reprise their legendary NBC roles.

Seinfeld said that photos of himself and Jason Alexander outside Tom’s Restaurant on the Upper West Side earlier this month are connected to a reunion project.

The two actors and “Seinfeld” show runner Larry David were all spotted at Tom’s on Jan. 13 when the restaurant was mysteriously closed for several hours.

“It’s a secret project,” Seinfeld told WFAN’s “Boomer and Carton” show on Thursday. “It’s a short-ish form [project].”

Seinfeld played a tight-lipped Twenty Questions with show hosts and offered up only scraps of information. Alexander is indeed playing George in the bit. When asked if other “Seinfeld” actors would be appearing in character, Jerry said: “Yes they were.”

The comic was evasive when asked whether the footage would be used in a Super Bowl ad or an episode of his web series, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

But Seinfeld confirmed the project would be shown “very, very soon.”

“I think it’s a one and done,” the “Seinfeld” lead said.
