Ricin rap vs. Texas ‘Vampire’

TEXARKANA, Texas — A bit-part actress was indicted yesterday on charges that she sent ricin-laced letters to President Obama and Mayor Bloomberg in an attempt to frame her estranged husband, federal prosecutors said.

Shannon Richardson, 35, is charged with two counts of mailing a threatening communication and one count of making a threat against Obama, said the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Texas.

Richardson, who appeared in non-speaking roles in the movies “The Walking Dead” and “The Vampire Diaries” under the name Shannon Rogers Guess, is accused of sending the letters in May to Obama, Bloomberg and Mark Glaze, who heads the mayor’s gun-control group. Richardson faces up to five years in prison on each charge.

Richardson’s court-appointed attorney, Tonda Curry, was not available for comment yesterday.
