Melissa George joining ‘Good Wife’ cast

Aussie actress Melissa George, who made a splash as an espionage operative on Cinemax’s action-adventure series “Hunted” last season, is joining the cast of CBS’s “The Good Wife.”

George will play Marilyn, a sexy in-house ethics adviser working for Illinois Gov. Peter Florrick (Chris Noth).

She should be busy, considering the dubious nature of Florrick’s election in the Season 4 finale.

George has also played supporting roles on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Alias.”

“The Good Wife” is adding a two other characters for its fifth season. They include Holly, a clever Assistant State’s Attorney who’s actually an old friend and potential love interest for Kalinda (Archie Panjabi). There will also be a lawyer who quits Lockhart Gardner for a job at the new firm being started by Cary (Matt Czuchry) and Alicia (Julianna Margulies).
