Three cops indicted in the alleged beating and sodomizing of a man in Brooklyn subway station are expected to surrender today.
Police Officers Richard Kern, Alex Cruz and Andrew Morales – all of the 71st Precinct – were told yesterday to turn themselves in and face criminal charges in the alleged Oct. 15 sexual assault on Michael Mineo.
Mineo, 24, a body-piercer at a tattoo parlor, claims that during a struggle, his pants were pulled down and one of the officers sodomized him with the antenna of a hand-held radio as he screamed out in pain.
The cops had stopped Mineo after spotting him smoking a joint.
One officer has told authorities that Kern was the main assailant. Kern has denied any wrongdoing.
