WHAT DO THEY HAVE IN COMMON?

IF you love to laugh until you fall off the couch, then have I got a must DVR for you. It’s VH1’s year-end special “Best Year Ever,” and it’s the best show ever if you appreciate totally no-holds-barred ridicule cloaked in no-holds-barred satire.

Fronted by “Best Week Ever” host Paul F. Tompkins, the show is filled with clips of celeb horrors of the past year. There’s everything from Tom Cruise’s insane man Scientology YouTube rant to insane man Gary Busey’s rants at the Oscars to insane “Dancing With the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba telling frozen-faced Priscilla Presley that she could give classes in dramatic facial expression.

It’s all so funny that it will almost make you forget that it really was the worst year ever.

There is also the countdown for what person had the best year ever, including Cloris Leachman, of whom they say, “There’s a fine line between jitterbugging and elder abuse”; Sarah Palin (speaks for herself); “American Idol” winner David Cook, who performs underarm flatulence in his quest to win the “Best Year” trophy; Thomas Beatty, the pregnant man; and Corey Worthington, a kid from Australia whose house party, held when his parents were away, wrecked an entire town.

Another giant highlight is Al “I’m Not Gay” Reynolds, former husband of Star Jones, who picks the “Sexiest Ladies of the Year,” including Britney Spears. “It’s women like Britney that make me glad I’m a fully functioning male with fully functioning man parts,” he says.

If you love to laugh, don’t miss it – especially if you have fully functioning man parts.
