Knicks’ Wilson Chandler caught with pot: cops

Knicks forward Wilson Chandler was busted on a pot possession charge after cops pulled him over for driving with no headlights in Queens, police said.

Chandler, who turned 23 last week, was carrying what was described as a “small amount” of marijuana when cops stopped his 2010 Mercedes-Benz near 94th Avenue and 213th Street in Queens at 11:30 p.m., police said.

Cops decided to search Chandler after they smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, police said. They found a joint under the seat and a bag of pot in the console of the car. A search uncovered five more small bags in the trunk.

The Michigan native’s family was stunned by the news.

“He’s a good kid he’s never been in trouble that I know of,” said his uncle Al Chandler. “I’m very upset, everybody’s upset that I know of.”

Chandler was issued a desk appearance ticket for the misdemeanor charge of criminal possession of marijuana. Cops also charged a passenger in the vehicle, Lamont Yarbrough, 22, who hails from Chandler’s hometown of Benton Harbor, Mich.

The 6-foot-8 forward missed the final month of the season because of a strained groin.
