Lindsay Lohan makes bail, won’t be arrested

Lindsay Lohan has already made bail, just hours after a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Los Angeles Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini said a bond was posted for the 23-year-old. Lohan’s lawyers preemptively handled the troubled starlett’s bail.

Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel issued a warrant for Lohan’s arrest Thursday after she missed a mandatory court hearing, but recalled it later that night.

Earlier, Revel had lashed out at Lohan — ordering her to cough up $100,000 to stay out of jail and submit to stringent drug and booze testing.

The ‘‘Mean Girls’’ star blew off her court-ordered hearing in front of LA County Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel, who didn’t buy the actress’ excuse that she recently lost her passport in France.

The judge said Lohan should have made plans to get back to California with a few days of cushion.

“If she wanted to be here, she could have been here,’’ said Revel, who ordered Lohan to steer clear of all alcohol and booze once she touches down on US soil. ‘‘She was ordered to be here — and she’s not here.’’

The judge issued a bench warrant for Lohan, but will allow her to surrender herself to authorities once she returns from France — where she was promoting an upcoming movie.

Lohan’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley said the troubled actress would return to Los Angeles on Friday.

As soon as Lohan makes bail, she’ll have to wear a booze-sensing ankle bracelet and submit to weekly, random drug tests, Revel ordered.

‘‘If they can do it more often [than once a week] fine,’’ Revel said.

Lohan was spotted partying on a yacht Wednesday in Cannes.

The 23-year-old actress is in trouble for failing to complete her alcohol education classes by Thursday. She is three classes short of completing the program.

“She has to take this seriously. I warned her before,” said Revel, who extended Lohan’s probation last October after missing other classes.

In August 2007, Lohan pleaded no contest to two counts of DUI and reckless driving.

Outside the courthouse, Holley said Revel is picking on Lohan because of the intense papparazzi attention on the actress.

‘‘It can’t help but to be a part of the decision making process,” Holley said.

LiLo’s lawyer stuck by her client’s lost-passport excuse and promised that the wayward actress will be back in California soon.

Holley admitted she didn’t know Lohan wasn’t cutting her travel plans so close and that the lost passport would cost her making today’s hearing.

“She has a life as an actress,” Holley said. “She doesn’t consult with me with what she has to do with her business.”

LA County Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said bench warrants like the one handed down by Revel are typically enforced when the fugitive is busted for another crime such as a traffic stop.

‘‘She will be treated just like everyone else who is entered into the system for a warrant, a bail of $100,000,’’ he said.

But the lawman wouldn’t rule out the chance that Lohan could be rounded up by cops before she turns herself in.

‘‘As soon as the person is notified or recognized by law enforcement, that person is subject to immediate arrest,’’ Whitmore said. “That is potentially a possibility.”
