Bearded Lowe is Brad to the bone

Got whiskers?

Yes, that’s actually onetime pretty boy actor Rob Lowe doing his best Brad Pitt impersonation for an upcoming three-episode appearance on Showtime’s “Californication.”

Lowe will play “unpredictable, megawatt movie star” Eddie Nero, who’s a contender to play Hank Moody (David Duchovny) in the film version of his best-selling novel, “F***ing and Punching” (though the movie title could be a bit different).

Lowe, who described Eddie as “an insane Oscar winner” on his Twitter page, isn’t ‘fessing up to copying his goateed, wool-capped look from Pitt — who’s worn his chin whiskers (and that ratty, ever-present cap) for a while now.

Lowe’s whiskers, however, aren’t real; they’re the creation of the “Californication” makeup department, according to a Showtime spokeswoman.

“Californication” kicks off its fourth season next year.

Duchovny won a Golden Globe in 2007 for his performance on the series.
