20 doctors subpoenaed in Corey Haim’s drug death case

It’s claimed the tragic “Lost Boys” star died after overdosing on a cocktail of medications prescribed to him by a horde of doctors.

The medical pros have been handed subpoenas demanding they give evidence in the case after they were selected by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.

Haim was reportedly linked to a drug ring and may have persuaded up to 20 doctors to unknowingly write him prescriptions.

The cause of his death remains unconfirmed, though speculation is that the 38-year-old had been supplied with an illegal batch of notorious painkiller OxyContin just prior to his demise.

Meanwhile, Haim’s former fiancée Cindy Guyer has revealed she always knew the troubled actor was destined for an early grave.

Cindy claims she broke off her engagement with doomed Corey in 2000, after surrendering to the fact he was beyond help.

She told Life & Style magazine: “We almost knew it was going to happen. He had a devil inside him, and the devil was the drug.

“He got violent and temperamental. He was doing a lot of drugs.

“I tried my best to help him. It’s very, very sad.”

Corey died after collapsing at his mum JUDY’s LA apartment in the early hours of March 10.
