‘Boardwalk Empire’ star, teen actors cast in final ‘Harry Potter’ movie: report

“Boardwalk Empire” star Kelly Macdonald and a pair of teenage actors have been added to the cast of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2,” the final film in the series, The Wrap reported Tuesday.

Macdonald will play the Grey Lady, also known as Helena Ravenclaw, the deceased daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw, founder of the Hogwarts wizard school. The character previously appeared in “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” played by “Clash of the Titans” actress Nina Young.

Thirteen-year-old actor Bertie Gilbert has been cast as Scorpius, son of series villain Draco Malfoy. Benedict Clark, 14, will play a young Severus Snape.

The three actors will appear in an epilogue that studio Warner Bros. decided to reshoot after fans complained that makeup used on the stars made them look too old. The characters are supposed to be 35 at the time of the epilogue.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” will be released on July 15, 2011.
