Kaplan spends a week in this crime-ridden neighborhood, hanging with deserving people and organizations that are making a real difference. Kaplan visits an after-school program to keep children off the streets, a low-income senior citizen living community and a charity that collects everyday items to give to those less fortunate — and ultimately surprises these heroes with donations of hundreds of thousands of dollars from his own bank account. Mortification sets in like rigor mortis and Will bursts into the newsroom to publicly discuss intimate matters he and Mackenzie swore they’d keep private. Co-starring Alison Pill and Dev Patel.
