Police have cancelled an Amber Alert for a 5-year-old boy in New York’s Westchester County.

Police had been looking for Ranaldo Brown, who was last seen Sunday morning in Mount Vernon.

The alert was cancelled around 9:30 a.m. Monday.

Police said earlier the man they believed to be his abductor, Thomas Whaley, 49, used to date the boy’s mother — but he and the child are not related.

Brown is 3’ 6” and weighs about 50 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue denim shorts, a white cutoff shirt, and red and black sneakers.

Whaley, 49, is about six feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He has an extensive criminal history, including violent and weapon offenses, police said.
