Rahm begs gang thugs

Note to gangbangers: Mind your manners.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel — the former Obama White House chief of staff — has appealed to the city’s hardened thugs to take their business off the main streets and show a sense of “values.”

“Take your stuff away to the alley,” said Emanuel, who has come under fire for the Windy City’s 275 murders so far this year — up 38 percent since he took office a little more than a year ago.

“It’s not about the crime. It’s about values,” he told CBS News, referring to the recent high-profile gang shooting of a 7-year-old girl killed in the crossfire as she sold candy outside her home.

“We’ve got two gangbangers, one standing next to a kid. Get away from that kid. Take your stuff away to the alley. Don’t touch the children of the city of Chicago. Don’t get near them,” he said.
