Weird But True

Valet busted for ‘sending vulgar photo to customer’

Connecticut cops busted a Washington Heights man who allegedly sent a photo of his genitals to a woman having her car fixed at the Greenwich Mercedes dealership where he worked as a valet.

Jonathan Silva, 22, of Pinehurst Avenue was busted after he showed up for work Monday at Greenwich Mercedes-Benz, The Stamford Advocate reported.

Stamford cops said a 41-year-old city woman told them she had gotten the obscene picture and a lewd text message on Dec. 14 – the same day Silva had given her a ride to work after she dropped off her car for service.

The woman did not know who sent her the message, but told cops she had given Silva her cell number that same day.

The accused perv was charged with obscenity, second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct and was released on a $5,000 bond pending a Jan. 27 court date.

The woman’s lawyer, Mark Sherman, blasted the dealership.

“The text messages were vulgar, unnerving and unsolicited,” Sherman told the paper. “For Mercedes to allow this to happen under their watch begs a number of questions, including … whether a proper background check was conducted on this man.”
