A drunken man lost a leg today after he was run over by a subway train while trying sleep off his buzz beneath a platform in Woodside, Queens, police said.
The 26-year-old man from Elizabeth, NJ, tried to tuck himself under an part of the train platform where he wouldn’t be noticed and dozed off, cops said.
The odd resting place was right next to the tracks, and the man’s leg was run over by a train around 4:40 a.m., police added.
The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he is expected to survive, cops said.
