Cowboys actually win something important

Football season may be over, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t wins and losses to be had in the offseason.

The Dallas Cowboys won the rights to the 16th overall pick in May’s NFL Draft in a coin flip against the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday morning at the NFL combine in Indianapolis.

The Ravens will pick 17th. The teams had been forced to flip a coin because both finished with the same record (8-8) and strength of schedule (.484), which is used as the first tiebreaker.

Six teams finished with 8-8 records, and the draft order was determined by strength of schedule. The Bears (.465) pick first among that bunch at No. 14 overall. The Steelers (.469) will pick 15th. The Jets (.488) will choose 18th and the Dolphins (.523) 19th.
