Brooklyn

A thief robbed a teen at gunpoint in Brownsville.

The man ambushed the 18-year-old victim at Broadway and Eastern Parkway at around 3:15 a.m. Jan. 16, and demanded his phone and cash, police said.

The teen handed over his belongings and the armed thief then forced the victim to an ATM and told him to withdraw money, cops said.

But the teen couldn’t get any cash from the machine and the suspect fled, authorities said.

Police released surveillance images of the suspect, who is about 25 years old, 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds.

An elderly man who had wandered off from his home was killed by a hit-and-run driver in East New York, but his family didn’t know about it for two days, police said.

Ruben Rivera, 81, left his apartment on Rockaway Avenue near Pitkin Avenue in Brownsville at around 9 a.m. Friday, cops said.

Several hours later, he was seen in East New York, pushing a shopping cart past a parked flatbed truck on Atlantic Avenue. When the truck’s driver pulled out of the spot, he mowed Rivera down and fled the scene, cops said.

A 911 caller reported seeing Rivera unconscious with severe trauma near the intersection of Atlantic and Williams Place at around 3:20 p.m.

Rivera was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Two days later, his family reported him missing, and then investigators identified the hit-and-run victim as the man who had disappeared.

Rivera had wandered off in the past, but had always returned home, cops said.

Police are still looking for the driver and his triple-axel flatbed truck with a dark-colored cab and pulley system.

Bronx

A disabled man was shot and killed after trading angry barbs with a stranger in Morrisania, law-enforcement sources said.

Darin Capeheart, 25, and two pals were entering an apartment building in the Forest Houses on East 166th Street at around 9:15 p.m., Jan. 31, when Salim Wilson, 22, and two other men approached, cops said.

The two groups acknowledged each other with a “what’s up,” sources added.

One of the victims opened the door, letting Wilson and his friends inside, police sources said.

The suspect allegedly barked, “Yo, fams, you have a problem?”

One of the victims responded, “Yo, take your s–t over there,” allegedly prompting Wilson to draw a gun and fire at the trio.

One of Capeheart’s pals ran away and dodged the fusillade of bullets.

His other friend was struck several times in the legs and back, and was hospitalized in stable condition.

Capeheart took several shots to the chest and was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital.

Members of both crews had previous run-ins with police, sources said.

Capeheart, who suffered from spina bifida, had two prior arrests, both for marijuana possession.

His wounded pal has been arrested 23 times on charges that include robbery, menacing, impersonation and reckless endangerment, according to the sources.

Wilson, the alleged shooter, also has a slew of prior arrests, including for weapon possession, trespass, larceny and possession of marijuana, the sources added.
