Pct. protest over cuff kid

Some 40 Bronx residents protested yesterday outside the police station house where a 7-year-old boy was handcuffed while cops probed a $5 schoolyard robbery.

“I don’t feel this would happen in the suburbs. It only happens to us,” said Chris Williams, 18, one of about a dozen high-school students demonstrating in front of the 44th Precinct in Mount Eden.

The Rev. Ruben Austria called little Wilson Reyes’ treatment symptomatic of “a mind-set and a philosophy that views young people as criminals.”

The second-grader was accused of hitting a schoolmate in the Dec. 4 robbery. A third-grader later confessed.
