Girl, 8, escapes kidnapper by running into Bronx school

An 8-year-old girl escaped from a man who allegedly tried to abduct her this morning by ducking into her Bronx elementary school, authorities said.

The girl was near the stairway entrance to PS 33 in Fordham Heights when a man in a car pulled up to the curb, police officials said.

The girl ran away from him and into the school — where she told the principal what happened, according to a Department of Education spokeswoman.

The principal called the police and notified the girl’s father, who rushed to the school.

Cops said they’re interviewing people at the scene.

The school, which is on Jerome Avenue near Fordham Road, serves more than 1,000 kids in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.
