* Memo to all Knicks fans: Carmelo Anthony is not the “superstar” many of you, and the media, believe him to be. Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Tim Duncan, just to name a few true superstars, made everybody on the floor better. Carmelo is good for Carmelo, while the rest of the team stands around and watches him shoot. He also takes nights off, as he did on Wednesday in the blowout loss to the Pacers. The Knicks never will reach a championship level with Anthony as their leader.

* The Knicks ain’t going nowhere. Jason Kidd is shot, there’s no backup center to spell Tyson Chandler, the team defense is weak, Carmelo Anthony is not elite and may never wear a ring, and the team’s age will continue to show. Oh, I just heard we got Kenyon Martin, the missing piece. Changed my mind.

* It is apparent why the Knicks are playing so poorly as they enter the second half of the NBA season. The players are attending too many Social Security, Medicare and AARP meetings along with their continuous physical therapy sessions. Adding “young’’ Kenyon Martin should alleviate many of their problems.

* If Jets owner Woody Johnson doesn’t sign Darrelle Revis for what he is worth, is there any reason for Jets fans to continue to follow the team? Revis makes the defense go. The Jets’ offense is pathetic with Mark Sanchez at quarterback. He’s still coach Rex Ryan’s quarterback, but Sanchez wouldn’t start at QB on any other team in the NFL. Ryan’s big mouth won’t save this team, and Revis is the only thing we have to look forward to. When he’s back with the defense, the Jets have a chance. If the Jets let him go, maybe we fans should go with him.

* I read Darrelle Revis is mad at Jets management for not informing him of his future. He also said he feels sorry for Jets fans. I guess he didn’t feel sorry for the fans when he held out as a rookie, and again a couple of years ago with two years remaining on his contract. Although he is a great player, he is and always will be a high-priced malcontent who feels he should be informed of managerial decisions. He should feel sorry for Jets fans, but because they have to put up with players like him.

No Cano do
* Giving Robinson Cano a long-term, multi-million dollar contract will be another Yankees disaster. Cano may be a good player now, but his attitude and his nonchalant style of play will be his downfall. Unless the Yankees give him an incentive-laden contract that may keep his head in the game, a long-term deal will be a bigger mistake than Alex Rodriguez’s contract. Baseball is a game of talent and passion. Cano has the talent, but he doesn’t seem to have the passion of the man he was named after — Jackie Robinson.
