North Korea’s Twitter and Flickr accounts hacked

Hackers took over North Korea’s propaganda-spewing Flickr account today and posted a drawing of leader Kim Jong Un with a pig’s snout and ears.

The drawing appeared with a “Wanted” heading and a caption that read “Threatening world peace with ICBMs and Nuclear weapons/Wasting money while his people starve to death.”

Another posting read “We are Anonymous,” apparently from the celebrated hacking activist group.

The North’s Uriminzokkri Twitter account, which has 13,000 followers, also stopped sending out its usual feed of photos of Kim with military leaders.

Instead, a picture of two Tango dancers appeared with the caption “Tango down.” Its tweets said “Hacked.”

The hacking came as tensions between Pyongyang and the US continued to escalate.

North Korea has used its social media sites to issue threats to the United States, like posting images of missiles crossing the Pacific Ocean and hitting North American targets.
