Trump fires back at AG Schneiderman

Donald Trump has shot back at state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman in their blistering court battle, filing court papers that poke fun at the AG for luring alleged victims of Trump University with promises of a big cash payout – and still only finding 97 more students.

“Like bees on honey, these 97 people have been lured by the AG with the promise and hope of monetary damages,” Trump lawyer Jeffrey Goldman said in the Manhattan Supreme Court filing.

“The AG’s game of Twister with the facts and ever-changing legal theories warrant the dismissal of the petition … The AG can’t ask the court to spin the dial and see where the arrow lands for which argument the AG is making.”

The AG filed a $40 million lawsuit against Trump in August accusing the billionaire of ripping off thousands of students with a now-shuttered scam school that charged up to $35,000.

Trump defended himself by saying the allegations are false and that the AG’s suit is politically-motivated.

The Trump filing also jeered the AG for claiming to have received more affidavits and complaints from former students.

“This is no surprise. In fact, the only surprise is that only 97 allegedly new people have come forward following Mr. Schneiderman’s defamatory and unstatesmanlike media campaign to publicize this lawsuit,” the suit reads, referring to the AG’s appearances on multiple television shows to speak on the suit.

“While Mr. Trump tries to distract from his fraud and abuse the courts to repeat his ridiculous claims, Attorney General Schneiderman is focused on one thing only: pursuing justice for the students victimized by Mr. Trump and his scam university,” said Matt Mittenthal, spokesman for Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.
