Five bumbling burglars were caught trying to escape with thousands of stolen lottery tickets and cash after breaking into a Kew Gardens deli through the roof, authorities said.

Police patrolling the area at around 3 a.m., Friday, were called to a burglary in progress at the JK Deli at 71st Avenue and Kissena Boulevard, cops said.

Investigators found a hole in the ceiling of the store and the clumsy cat burglars on the rooftop, police said.

A third suspect tried to fight the cops off, and the fourth ran into a nearby building’s elevator, but failed miserably to stay hidden, cops added.

The heist netted the thieves 3,518 scratch-off lottery tickets, $12,000 in stolen cash, 162 packs of cigarettes and 49 boxes of cigars — but for a very short time, cops said.

Robert Martin, 27, José Rosario, 25, Christopher Aulet, 21, Sean Martin, 19, and the 15-year-old getaway driver were all charged with burglary and possession of burglar’s tools.
