When their Yankee careers end, perhaps CC Sabathia and Mark Teixeira will give show business a shot.
The two Bronx Bombers made a surprise cameo on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday night.
They showed up during an Audience Suggestion Box skit and performed a scene from the film “August: Osage County,” a dark comedy starring Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep and Julianne Nicholson about the lives of a group of women from Oklahoma.
Donning wigs, Teixeira played the role of Violet Weston, the family’s matriarch played by Streep in the movie, while Sabathia was her daughter Ivy Weston, played by Nicholson. In the brief scene, Sabathia, looking fit, smacks Texeira, after he — or in this case she — was critical of a former boyfriend.
“Barry wasn’t a loser,” Sabathia says.
“Barry was an a—hole,” Texeira responds, before receiving a smack to end the scene.
