Chilean actor Pedro Pascal, who most recently played Juan Badillo on USA’s “Graceland,” is going to join premium cable’s hottest show — HBO’s Sunday night hit “Game of Thrones.”
Pascal will portray Prince Oberyn Martell, also known as the Red Viper of Dorne and one of the most revered characters from the best-selling books by George R.R. Martin. Oberyn is the younger brother of Doran Martell, the Prince of Dorne, and the older brother of the late Elia Martell. In the series’ most recentt season, Oberyn’s sister was killed by the Lannisters via Gregor “the Mountain” Clegane when the Mad King was overthrown. The Red Viper comes to King’s Landing for vengeance.
