‘Mad Men’ star John Slattery knocks Christine Quinn for mayor over Soho garage

Christine Quinn made him one Mad Man.

Silver-maned “Mad Men” star John Slattery is coming out strong against the mayoral front-runner — all because she approved a 10-story sanitation garage in his Soho neighborhood five years ago.

Slattery, 50, and other A-listers spent years campaigning against the city’s $400 million mega-garage on Spring Street near the West Side Highway.

But when they presented an alternative plan at a City Council hearing, Quinn not only refused to consider it, she futzed around with her cellphone as neighbors poured their hearts out, Slattery says.

“Christine Quinn literally did not look up from her telephone,” Slattery told The Post. “When it came down to the people of the city . . . she could not have been less interested.”

James Gandolfini, Jennifer Connelly, Kirsten Dunst, Lou Reed and R.E.M. vocalist Michael Stipe all joined Slattery in the campaign.

Well-heeled neighbors filed a lawsuit, which was thrown out by a state Supreme Court judge. An appellate court gave the facility the green light in 2011.

The garage, including a salt-storage shed, will open next year.

Quinn campaign spokesman Mike Morey yesterday defended the decision.

“The days of expecting only low-income communities to bear the burden of sanitation or public-works facilities are over, and if that belief costs Chris Quinn the vote of a celebrity, that’s a price she is willing to pay on behalf of all New Yorkers,” he told The Post.
