Khalid Sheik Mohammed chills in air-conditioned Gitmo cell

He’ll probably never see the light of day again, but at least accused 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed will always know where Mecca is.

In the first look inside the terror boss’ Gitmo trial, “60 Minutes” revealed Sunday how Mohammed chills between court sessions in a special air-conditioned cell with an arrow pointing to the Muslim holy city.

He gets to the Guantanamo Bay court complex — called Camp Justice — by passing trough an outdoor corridor covered in a camouflage mesh that can stop a sniper bullet.

In the courtroom — where KSM is facing the death penalty along with four cohorts — he is given his own computer screen and translation service.

He also gets a defense lawyer who thinks this is all unfair.

“This is not a system that is set up to deliver justice,” KSM lawyer David Nevin told the TV news magazine.

Despite the complaints from the KSM camp, the trial’s chief prosecutor, Brig. Gen. Mark Martins says the government is bending over backwards to provide a fair trial.

“We’ve got to ensure that what we do in these cases is justice and can’t be accused of being vengeance,” he told reporter Leslie Stahl.
