A 35-year-old man is under arrest after he viciously attacked and robbed his barber on a Brighton Beach street, authorities said.

Joseph Tabaczek, 35, and the barber were smoking cigarettes across the street from the barber shop on East 14th Street and Neptune Avenue at about 9 p.m. June 30 when Tabaczek allegedly asked if he could borrow some cash to go play the ponies at Aqueduct Racetrack, law-enforcement sources said.

The barber admitted to having some cash, but said he was headed to the bank to deposit it.
