TEACHER’S PET DEFENDS AFFAIR

The love-struck teen boy caught in a tryst with his middle-school teacher says it’s nobody’s business.

“If she loves me and I love her, it’s OK, and I love her,” the 15-year-old told The Post yesterday.

“Nobody knew. It was nobody’s business,” he said.

But the cops, district attorney, school board and the boy’s mother are making it their business.

Jennifer Sanchez, a first-year teacher at Middle School 143, will be reassigned to a district office pending the outcome of the cops’ investigation, said a Board of Education spokesperson.

The boy’s mother is outraged.

“This is bad,” she said. “I’m very upset about what happened. I don’t understand why it happened.”

For four months the 23-year-old teacher and the eighth-grader were hiding their affair, according to cops.

Sanchez even moved into the Bronx apartment building where the boy lived a month ago, cops said.

But Sanchez’s boyfriend caught on to the affair and threatened the boy, according to police. That’s when the victim told his mother about their relationship.

Cops arrested Sanchez Tuesday, charging her with sodomy and rape.

Neighbors in the Norwood apartment building noticed that the tall, lanky, baby-faced boy spent a lot of time in the teacher’s apartment.

“Just looking at him, you can see he’s very young,” said José Sanabria. “He’s a nice kid and she’s taking advantage of him.”
