Airline offers customers a ‘child-free’ zone

A Singapore-based airline understands that not everyone wants to fly surrounding by screeching children.

Scoot Airlines, the budget arm of Singapore Airlines, has instituted “ScootinSilence,” a new program where child-less travelers can upgrade to a seat in a five-row section of economy that’s completely whippersnapper-free. The cost, a paltry $14.

No one under 12 will be allowed in the section.

CEO Campbell Wilson hopes that kids won’t be insulted by the move.

“No offense to our young guests or those travelling with them – you still have the rest of the aircraft,” he told The Australian.

The seats also come with extra leg-room, which alone could be worth the cost of the upgrade.
