Tony Award show host and TV star Neil Patrick Harris has a lot to celebrate. He and fiancé David Burtka are fresh back from a trip to St. Tropez with their adorable 2-year-old twins Harper and Gideon. Now the clan is returning to a new home — in Harlem.
Harris just bought a stunning $3.6 million townhouse at 2036 Fifth Ave., between West 125th and 126th streets. The five-story stunner has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and measures a sprawling 8,000 square feet.
The sun-filled home includes two terraces, a backyard, chef’s kitchen and lots of space for a playroom and gym.
The home is significantly bigger than the couple’s previous home, which was also in Harlem.
Corcoran broker Fabienne Lecole was the listing agent. Corcoran’s Noble Black represented Harris and Burtka on the deal.

An entire West Village building, at 632 Hudson St., the home of MTV’s “The Real World Back to New York,” will soon hit the market for $22 million. The 8,000-square-foot, four-story, mixed-use building, built in 1847, features commercial space on the ground floor and a lavish triplex above for residential use. Douglas Elliman’s Abigail Agranat and Jan Hashey are the listing agents.
Leaving the Fifth
Republican donor Michael Saperstein, who recently rented his Hamptons manse on Daniels Lane in Sagaponack to Hillary and Bill Clinton for $200,000 a month, just sold his posh pad on the ninth floor of 912 Fifth Ave. The buyer is Richard M. McVey. Saperstein is a former managing director at Bear Stearns and was a big supporter of Mitt Romney.
The eight-room apartment has great views of Central Park from its oversized picture windows. It includes a 30-foot-long living room with a fireplace and more park views. There’s also a library, a formal dining room and an eat-in chef’s kitchen along with a home gym. The co-op, on the market for 332 days, according to StreetEasy, was listed by John Burger of Brown Harris Stevens.

That “The Book of Mormon” co-director Casey Nicholaw and Josh Marquette are hosting an event to benefit the Matthew Shepard Foundation on the roof terrace at One Museum Mile, at 1280 Fifth Ave., overlooking Central Park, on Sept. 17. “Selling New York” reality stars Tom Postilio and Mickey Conlon will be there.
