BEEKMAN LOT ON THE BLOCK

NYU Downtown Hospital’s parking lot is on the sales block and could fetch as much as $100 million as home of a 50-story tower topped with luxury condos.

The site, across from Pace University and just steps from City Hall Park, is known to many as the Beekman Hospital parking lot. Pace is considered a potential purchaser.

The land lies just west of the hospital, between Beekman and Spruce streets at the north end of William Street. The lot also abuts 150 Nassau St., a 24-story historical building recently converted to residences. The City Hall area has lately become a destination address for both apartment owners and renters.

Jon Caplan and Scott Latham of Cushman & Wakefield are marketing the development site on behalf of the hospital.
