Brooklyn sisters grabbing A-list clientele with vintage jewels

Two Brooklyn sisters are grabbing attention for their vintage-inspired jewelry.

Kim Carosella, 30, and her sister Nicole, 32, launched Sorellina in 2011, and already have A-list fans including Florence Welch, Demi Moore and Kristen Wiig.

Nicole, who is an artist and studied jewelry fabrication at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, is the creative talent, while Kim, who interned with jewelry designers and has studied business, handles the business side of the company.

To launch the company’s first line, they melted down their mother’s old jewelry that she donated to the cause. Prices start at $850 for stack rings, with most pieces around $3,000 to $5,000 each.
