Ray Kelly ‘content’ to quit as top dog

Outgoing Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said Sunday he’s looking forward to moving on.

“I’m very content with what’s happening,” Kelly told reporters outside Christ Church on the Upper East Side.

“It’s time to leave,” he said. “I look forward to new adventures.”

Kelly was attending a “blessing of the animals” service, in which parishioners bring their pets to be blessed at the altar of the Park Avenue church.

On his way out of church after the ceremony, the soon-to-be-former-commissioner told reporters that he’s a dog person.

“I’ve had a dog, I would say, for probably 40 years of my life,” Kelly said. “We had a dog from a shelter, which was a collie, sort of a mix.’’

But he added that he doesn’t own a pooch at the moment because, “right now, it’s very difficult in an apartment.”
