High school gossip page pulled off Internet

A cruel gossip Web page run by catty Forest Hills HS students was yanked down Thursday after it was discovered by parents and teachers.

“They took down the page. I haven’t heard about anyone starting another page because they would get in trouble,” said Jacob, 15, who attends the top-tiered Queens school.

Just hours after the Web-page blackout, teachers sent students home with a letter addressed to parents, warning them about the school’s no electronics policy.

“Be advised that your child was subjected to random scanning and found in possession of a cellphone or other electronic devices . . . [electronics] are prohibited inside school,” the letter states.

Parents and teachers discovered the Facebook “confessions” page — which features posts about who has “the fattest ass ever,” sex and suicide — after a student posted an alarming threat, forcing cops to search the school Wednesday.

“The Web site was taken down in a collaboration with the school and NYPD . . . the note that the school sent was actually a reminder of the DOE chancellor’s regulation banning cellphones in schools,” Department of Education spokeswoman Marge Feinberg said.

Principal Saul Gootnick declined to comment.
