Another actor hurt at ‘Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark’ Broadway show

A performance of the Broadway hit “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” was halted last night after an actor was injured during the show.

The actor, who was not identified, got his leg lodged underneath a piece of equipment during the opening of the second act, police said.

“I heard screaming,” recalled Gabriel Oliveira, 28, who was sitting in the fourth row. “I heard him crying and couldn’t do anything.”

Audience members said the actor was performing a minor role in a scene with the Green Goblin villain when his leg got trapped.

“I think he was stuck because they couldn’t move him,” Oliveira said. “They started to call everyone from backstage. I’m concerned about the health of the guy.”

A representative for the play said the actor was receiving hospital treatment.

Five actors and body doubles were injured during early performances of the musical, which is believed to be the most expensive production in Broadway history.
